Sponsor a Survival Kit

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference when you’re going through cancer treatment.

A warm blanket during chemo. Ginger candy when you’re nauseous. A soft beanie when you’ve lost your hair. A cup to keep your drinks cold.

Things you might not think twice about until you’re the person who needs them.

That’s why Mojo and the Mess Foundation created our Survival Kit program.

At The Village in October 2026, we distributed 120 complete Survival Kits to people navigating cancer treatment. Now we’re taking that same idea and making it something we can provide year-round.

Our Goal: 500 Survival Kits by the End of 2027

120 kits distributed. 380 more to go.

We want to provide 500 Survival Kits to people going through cancer treatment by December 31, 2027.

Every kit is completely free to the recipient, and we’re starting right here in Volusia County.

What’s in a Survival Kit?

Cancer treatment doesn’t look the same for everyone, so neither do our kits.

Depending on the person’s needs, kits may include:

  • Soft blankets
  • Reusable cups or tumblers
  • Ginger candy and nausea comfort supplies
  • Ice packs and cooling items
  • Soft beanies
  • Lip balm and gentle skincare
  • Neuropathy comfort supplies
  • Other practical items that make treatment and recovery a little easier

We offer several types of kits, including Chemo Comfort, Hair Loss & Scalp Care, Neuropathy Comfort, and Recovery & Rest.

Each kit is assembled based on individual needs and available supplies.

Sponsor a Survival Kit — $40

For $40, you can sponsor one complete Survival Kit for a local cancer patient.

You can sponsor one kit or several:

  • 1 Kit — $40
  • 2 Kits — $80
  • 5 Kits — $200
  • 10 Kits — $400

Your sponsorship helps us purchase supplies, put together a kit, and personally deliver it to someone who needs it.

The foundation reviews requests and determines who receives each kit based on individual needs and available supplies.

To sponsor a kit, email us at mojoandthemess@gmail.com.

Prefer to Donate Supplies?

Not everyone wants to make a financial contribution, and that’s perfectly fine.

We also have an Amazon Wishlist filled with supplies we use to assemble our Survival Kits.

You can purchase individual items directly from the list, and they’ll help us stock kits throughout the year.

Wishlist purchases are separate from our $40 kit sponsorships.

Our Survival Kit Sponsors

Every kit is made possible by individuals, families, and businesses willing to help.

We recognize our sponsors on a separate, permanent page organized by year.

Sponsors can also dedicate a kit in honor or memory of someone special or choose to remain anonymous.

Business sponsors can be recognized with their name, logo, and website link.

Follow Our Progress

Our goal: 500 Survival Kits by December 31, 2027

  • 120 kits distributed at The Village in October 2026
  • 380 kits remaining to reach our goal

We’ll continue updating our progress as kits are sponsored, assembled, and delivered.

Need a Survival Kit?

If you’re undergoing cancer treatment and could use some extra comfort, you can request a kit for yourself.

You can also nominate someone you know.

We review each request based on individual needs and available supplies. Kits are delivered locally, and you’re welcome to request additional assistance as your treatment needs change.

There’s no cost to receive a kit.
